Street Athletics 2009

Street Athletics is an annual competition set up by former Olympic Gold medalist Linford Christie and Darren Campbell to encourage young people into sport. The structure of the events means that the young people compete against each other in a series of street races, with the chance of winning some great prizes at the end of it.

We were contacted by Linford Christie's sports agency Nuff Respect with the goal of creating a brand around the Street Athletics theme, which included fliers, e-fliers, a Facebook page, twitter accounts and a website all of which had to represent the event and spoke to their client base, inner city children.

We produced a flash-based website with a gritty, graffiti based feel to it. The website helped to create a buzz around the event, which led to 22 events nationwide, the final was held Manchester last year.

'We have chosen 5or6 to produce the Street Athletics website because of their ability to follow a brief without inhibiting their creative skills. We have been consistently impressed with the new ideas they have come up with and are as competitive as they were when we first went to them 2 years ago.'

Superstar Boudoir

We were approached by an external events promoter with the task of branding and to theme one of his new nights and at Vodka Revolution Bar, with the aim of attracting party goers who wanted a classier more sophisticated evening out. And so 'Superstar Boudoir' was conceived.

The event branding included posters and fliers as well as a Facebook campaign with the aim of giving off the feeling of luxury to the consumer base. Colours and imagery were very important in this project, they all had to represent the evening and coincide with the brand.

Loc8me

Student accommodation is a growing market, with more students going off to University every year, there is an increasing demand for quality student accommodation. Loc8me was set up and conceived by students with the aim of providing their peers with quality accommodation.

Designing for students can be a tricky business, trends change quickly within a Univeristy environment, and so the designs needed to have a lasting quality to them. We decided to base everything around the '8', so that it could be used as a stand alone logo for the brand.

Loc8me have had an extremely successful first year opening their first office and letting out over 100 houses, with more landlords set to sign up for next year.
